You are managing backups in the flash recovery area. The size of flash recovery area is limited and you want keep backup at different location. The above task can be accomplished by moving backups from flash recovery area to another location and then cataloging again.
Step-1 [Identify backup of archivelog files that need to be re-located]
Step-2 [Copy archivelog files from flash recovery area to another location using Os Commands]
After copy extract files from folder to main folder.
Step-3 [Delete orignal archivelog backup files]
Step-4 [Re-catalog archivelog files from another location- issue following seriece of RMAN command]
RMAN> connect catalog rmanlh/cat@devdb ‘connect with recovery catalog
RMAN> connect target sys/*****@lhr ‘connect with target database
‘Recatalog all backup files one by one
RMAN> catalog backuppiece '\\Test-server\Old_LHDB_Backups\ArcLogs\O1_MF_ANNNN_ARCHIVELOG_BACKUP__0_47BQSL47_.BKP';
RMAN> catalog backuppiece '\\Test-server\Old_LHDB_Backups\ArcLogs\O1_MF_ANNNN_ARCHIVELOG_BACKUP__0_47X6FN8C_.BKP';
RMAN> catalog backuppiece '\\Test-server\Old_LHDB_Backups\ArcLogs\O1_MF_ANNNN_ARCHIVELOG_BACKUP__0_48HO1FS4_.BKP';
RMAN> catalog backuppiece '\\Test-server\Old_LHDB_Backups\ArcLogs\O1_MF_ANNNN_ARCHIVELOG_BACKUP__0_4923OFBD_.BKP';
